Up to 8.15% FD interest rate: Punjab & Sind Bank increases fixed deposit rates – ET BFSI

Punjab & Sind Bank has increased fixed deposit interest rates for specific tenures and introduced special tenure fixed deposits with limited period offer. The new rates are effective from October 21, 2024.After the revision, Punjab & Sind offers fixed deposit interest rates between 4% to 7.45% for callable deposits for tenure ranging from 7 days to 10 years for general citizens. The bank also offers highest interest rate of 7.50% on non-callable deposit of tenure 555 days (Non – Callable).Senior Citizens shall be given benefit of additional interest of 0.50% on term deposits of less than Rs. 3 crore, over and above the mentioned rates for the maturity of 180 days & above on fresh as well as on renewal of term deposits. The bank offers an interest rate between 4% to 7.95% for callable deposits. The bank offers highest interest rate of 8% on non callable deposit tenue of 555 days.

Super Senior Citizens (80 Years & above) will be given benefit of additional interest of 0.15% on specific period (i.e. 222Days, 333Days, 444Days, 555 Days, 777Days, 999Days) Term Deposits of less than Rs. 3 crores, above for the maturity of 180 days & above on fresh as well as on renewal of term deposits. The highest interest rate offered for super senior citizen is 8.15% on tenure of 555 days on non callable deposit and 8.10% on callable deposit on same tenure.

The special FD tenure of 222 days, 333 days, 444 days, 555 days (Callable), 555 days (Non – Callable), 777 days, 999 days ( Callable), 999 days (Non – Callable)* will be valid up to December 31, 2024.
