Tamilnad Mercantile Bank announced on Friday that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of Vincent Menachery Devassy as its Whole Time Director.
Vincent Menachery Devassy will remain as the Whole Time Director of the Bank (Executive Director), for a period of 3 years, from the date of assuming charge, subject to the approval of the Shareholders.
Vincent Menachery Devassy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Law, a Diploma in Management, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. With over 39 years of experience in commercial banking, he began his career at the State Bank of India in 1984.
His expertise lies in retail banking, wealth management, banking technology, compliance, risk management, and international banking. He has held key positions at SBI, including Chief General Manager of the North East Circle, Chief General Manager of Anytime Channels, General Manager of the Amaravati Circle, General Manager of the Bangalore Circle, Deputy General Manager of SBI Wealth, and Vice President (PER & ADMN) at SBI New York.
